SCANDINAVIAN FLARE

This house was a top-to-toe project. There wasn't one space in this house that I didn't touch with either wall color or refurnishing. But the biggest change was the kitchen that was extended and an outdoor deck was built with French doors directly from the kitchen creating a view over the lake and the city that you could enjoy while cooking. I carefully designed both the deck and the kitchen to successfully reach the highest potential in terms of functionality and design. Choosing classic furnishes from Danish designers like the Y-chair and flagship lounge chair helped elevate this home into a more upscale place.

"Design is in the details. Elements of black and neutrals are always a good idea and a safe card for most places, I worked a lot with just that when creating this space and was letting textures and prints be the runner of the show.

For the kitchen, I chose a very modern sleek finish on the kitchen cabinet doors to keep them modern but decided to go with a warm grey almost green shade for the color to keep it away from feeling too harsh and cold in the end."

" By having different levels in the kitchen area with the bench and the display cabinet it doesn't become too obvious and creates a sense of balance to the kitchen instead of having it all be counter space, And I love mixing in some of the wood and glass elements to make things interesting and not too predictable."
